Established in 1969, Dantec is the most innovative manufacturer of composite hose in the world; exporting products from its UK factory to over 60 countries.

Originally, Dantec started as a gasket cutting business. However, the requirements of the largest petrochemical complex in the UK at Ellesmere Port, 10 miles from the Dantec original site, led to diversification into other industrial products (including hoses) in 1977. An ever-increasing demand from existing customers for a reliable supplier composite hose led to Dantec commencing manufacture. Continuous innovation and development have placed Dantec as the world leader in composite hose technology. To produce the highest quality and comprehensive range of composite hose, Dantec manufactures hoses from the highest specification materials to the most stringent procedures in its purpose build factory in the North of England.

Dantec Ltd operates from its head office and factory in Moreton, Merseyside with a network of assembling distribution in the United Kingdom, amongst many other countries. These distributors have been trained in the assembly process and are able to fulfil their local industry’s requirements quickly and efficiently. The mutual support between Dantec and distributors is a very important part of the business. Dantec believes that the strong relationship between the manufacturer and distributor is the recipe for long term success.

Hose Reels

Working in partnership with our parent company Elaflex we now offer composite hoses on a custom built hose reel.
The reel is available in manual, semi automatic or automatic options and is ideal for space saving hose storage.

Modular Designed to Suit Your Requirements

We have extended our product range with Composite Hose Reels which are custom-made and from our own production. Our Hose Reels are equipped with our hoses, couplings or nozzles, supplied as a complete package.

These packages are commonly used for terminals, road tankers, stationary or mobile refuelling. They are produced to the known high Elaflex & Dantec quality standard, compliant with CE regulations and meet with European health, safety and environmental standards.

The Hose Reel types are available with different rewind systems: manual – spring – motorised (electric, hydraulic or pneumatic). Suitable for a wide range of media, e.g. gasoline, diesel, aviation fuels, urea solution ( AdBlue®), detergents, solvents, oils, water, gases and others.

They can be built to hold hose sizes from DN 25 to 200 and any length. Depending on the hose configuration and available space, all Hose Reel versions are fully customisable in dimensions, colours, materials and positioning in order to satisfy customer’s specific requests.

Advantages

  • Space saving, storage functionality
  • Easier hose handling
  • High quality standard, longevity
  • Many options, modular designed to suit your space, media and requirements
  • Delivery as complete, tested, system including hoses, couplings and nozzles
  • Economical pricing
  • Short lead times

As a complementarity product to the Dantec product range, we have been successfully providing installations in different fields such as stationary or mobile refuelling, bunkering / marine, aviation, LPG, and chemicals.

Danoil

Danoil family of Dantec composite hoses come in 3 grades; Danoil 3 (light hydrocarbons) Danoil 7 (Heavier hydrocarbons) Danoil 9 (Biofuel, Aromatics, Solvents).

Both the Danoil 3 and Danoil 7 hoses, which are Dantec’s recommended hydrocarbon transfer hoses, are manufactured from multiple layers of polypropylene fabrics and films.

The inner helix is available in galvanised steel and aluminium. The outer wire is available in galvanised steel, and only in the case of the Danoil 3 is also available in aluminium.

Danoil 9 range is a polyamide (nylon) lined version of the Danoil 7; This hose is used for products with high aromatic content and biofuels. The inner helix is available in 316 stainless steel, galvanised steel and aluminium, with the outer wire available in 316 stainless steel and galvanised steel.

Danoil 3 range is a robust but light weight hose, which is only available as a 10.5 bar standard duty hose and is mainly used in gravity to low pressure applications, such as road tanker deliveries.

Danoil 7 and Danoil 9 range are both 14 bar, tough high strength transfer hose and they are available in both standard and heavy duty.

Standard duty version is used in rail car unloading and in plant transfers. Heavy duty is available for ship to shore and marine applications.

Hose Couplings

Dantec manufacture and supply a wide range of hose couplings.

From industry standard camlocks, threaded couplings and flanges to bespoke fabrications such as elbows, extended stubs, and couplings with valves and lifting handles. We also supply specialist designed weld neck flanges for extreme low temperature and pressures for use with our liquefied gas transfer hoses.

The standard materials available are 316 Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel (Mild Steel), Aluminium and Ultra high molecular weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE). Our metal fittings are also available galvanised or with an PTFE coating for better chemical resistance.

We are also able to source couplings in all other materials such as other grades stainless steel and polymers, and high-end materials such as Hastelloy.

Dantec’s couplings have a specialist designed scroll tail which is purpose made to pair with the diameter and pitch of the inner wire helix, hose assemblies can be supplied using the rubber seal dry fit method or epoxy wet system depending on the application.

Due to our specialist assembly process, Dantec couplings cannot be sold loose and can only be assembled into Dantec composite hoses by an approved Dantec distributor.

Dantec also offer a wide range of ancillary adaptors, and augmented products that complement our hoses and couplings such as Hosebun, safety bumps and full range of MannTek couplings.

Danchem

The Danchem range of composite hoses is manufactured from multiple layers of polypropylene fabrics and films. The inner wire helix is available in 316 stainless steel and polypropylene coated steel. The outer wire helix is available in 316 stainless steel and galvanised steel.

The hose is typically manufactured with a PVC coated cover; however, PU coated cover and Polypropylene chemical resistant covers are available on request.

Hose is available in Standard Duty and Heavy Duty.

Standard duty is used in applications such as plant transfers, road tanker use and rail tanker unloading.

Heavy duty version is available for ship to shore and marine applications.
