The Moriah Energy Center continues to achieve key construction milestones as the project advances toward completion, bringing the Triangle region of North Carolina closer to enhanced energy reliability and resilience.

On July 10th, leaders from Enbridge Major Projects and Enbridge Gas North Carolina joined the project team for a final walkthrough inside the liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage tank before it is permanently sealed. Among those in attendance were Rusty Harris, president of Enbridge Gas North Carolina, and Anne Moore, vice president of Major Projects.

The walkthrough offered an opportunity to reflect on the project’s progress and recognise the dedication and collaboration that have contributed to its success. Standing inside the completed storage tank highlighted the extensive planning, skilled craftsmanship and steadfast commitment to safety that have defined every phase of construction.

Before the tank is permanently sealed, the project team will continue a longstanding tradition by signing the interior of the structure, leaving a lasting reminder of their contributions to a facility that will help strengthen the Triangle’s energy infrastructure for years to come.

As construction enters its final stages, the team remains focused on completing the project while approaching another significant safe work hours milestone. The achievement reflects the strong safety culture established from the outset and the ongoing commitment of everyone on site to carrying out every task safely and responsibly.
