CEA Systems – Assets at your fingertips
We are standing at the beginning of a technological revolution that will fundamentally change the way we live and work. It has become clear that the future now lies within innovation.
The Internet of Things, machine learning, predictive maintenance, assets that communicate with each other, sensors that can show assets' operating parameters, 3D scans that can transform into 3D models with an accuracy of one millimetre. These are all innovations that can significantly boost a company’s productivity, but they all have something in common - they create isolated datasets.
The fourth industrial revolution has opened up a world of possibilities to produce data, that if aligned, can propel a company to the top of its sector.

Baker Hughes to power its 170 Texas facilities with renewable energy
Baker Hughes has entered into an agreement to purchase 100 per cent of its Texas electricity from renewable sources.
Designed in collaboration with Energy Edge Consulting and EDF Energy Services, the agreement combines renewable energy from the Texas-based White Mesa Wind project, owned and developed by Apex Clean Energy and the Talitha solar project, owned and developed by 7X Energy. The combination of wind and solar assets creates an energy production profile that aligns with Baker Hughes’ electricity use patterns around the clock and is more beneficial than purchasing all of the company’s Texas energy needs from a single renewable asset.
The agreement will eliminate 12 per cent of the company’s global carbon equivalent emissions and wi…

ExRobotics & Yokogawa in partnership to promote adoption of robotics for inspection
Netherlands-based developer of robotics technology for hazardous environments, ExRobotics, and Yokogawa Electric Corporation have inked a licensing agreement that will enable Yokogawa to sell and deploy ExRobotics' inspection robot hardware and software platforms worldwide.
ExRobotics was established in 2017 to commercialise robotics technology for use in the potentially explosive atmospheres found at oil and gas production and processing facilities, which are often in remote locations with harsh environments. Even on normally unmanned facilities, a human presence is generally still needed for regular inspection work, so deploying robots can have a significant positive impact on worker safety by minimising worker field trips, which in turn …
KLM has purchased Neste’s sustainable aviation fuel for Schiphol flights
Neste is to supply KLM with additional sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) for flights out of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. The sustainable fuel is produced by Neste from used cooking oil and will reduce CO2 emissions by up to 80 per cent compared to fossil kerosene.
This purchase is the next step in the use of sustainable fuel as it is the first time the fuel will be supplied using the existing infrastructure at Schiphol. Furthermore, Neste is joining KLM’s Corporate BioFuel Programme. In doing so, Neste will reduce the CO2 emissions of its own business travel on KLM flights by 100 per cent.
The quantity of SAF will be blended with fossil fuel and is entirely certified according to the conventional specification for aviation fuel (ASTM), meeti…
