Petrotec’s Process & Chemicals Department has secured a multi-million-dollar contract to supply advanced column internals for a critical process column retrofit project supporting a leading energy sector operator in Qatar.
The award highlights growing demand for advanced process technologies that improve operational efficiency, reliability, and sustainability across energy assets. Petrotec will deliver the solution in partnership with Koch-Glitsch, combining global process technology expertise with local technical support capabilities.

The project will utilise next-generation column internals technology designed to enhance process performance and deliver measurable improvements throughout the asset lifecycle. Expected benefits include improved process efficiency, increased throughput, enhanced operational reliability, reduced energy consumption, lower operating costs, and support for emissions reduction objectives.
As energy companies continue to focus on operational excellence, energy optimisation, and decarbonisation, advanced process solutions are becoming increasingly important in helping operators improve asset performance while meeting sustainability targets.
Saket Javeri, head of sales process & chemicals at Petrotec, said the contract reinforces the company’s role as a provider of high-value process solutions within Qatar’s energy sector.
“This achievement further strengthens Petrotec’s position as a trusted partner for high-value process solutions across Qatar’s energy sector, delivering innovation, quality and technical excellence from concept to execution that helps our clients maximise efficiency while advancing their sustainability goals,” Javeri said.
He added that Petrotec’s partnership-driven approach, supported by advanced technologies and local expertise, continues to enable the delivery of critical process applications for energy operators in Qatar.
The project forms part of Petrotec’s wider commitment to supporting smarter, more efficient, and more sustainable operations across the energy industry, as operators seek to maximise performance and extend the value of existing assets.
