Viking CCS development funding approved
Harbour Energy has welcomed the UK government's approval of development funding for the Viking Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) project, describing it as an important milestone in advancing the project toward a final investment decision (FID) during the current Parliament, subject to project readiness and affordability.
The funding will support additional technical and commercial work required to progress the project as Harbour Energy continues collaborating with the government, regulators and other stakeholders.

Delfin Midstream Inc. has issued a Limited Notice to Proceed to Siemens Energy Inc. for the procurement of long-lead equipment for its second floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) production vessel, FLNG2, marking a significant milestone as the company advances the project toward a targeted final investment decision by the end of 2026.
The LNTP covers the procurement of four Siemens Energy SGT-750 gas turbines and mixed-refrigerant compressors for FLNG2, which will be located offshore Louisiana. The move is intended to secure critical manufacturing capacity and reduce project schedule risks ahead of FID.

LNG Canada and its joint venture participants have announced a landmark equity option agreement with MNT Investments LP, a limited partnership representing the economic development organisations of five First Nations neighbouring the company's operations in Kitimat, British Columbia.
